La Revista de Economía se encuentra en los siguientes Índices, bases de datos y directorios:
I. THE JOURNAL
1. The Journal of Economics has the character of a scientific journal and, as such, is a means of publishing research papers with high scientific rigor.
2. Its main objective is to disseminate among the academic and scientific community at national and international level, as well as among the interested public, original articles that are products of theoretical or empirical scientific research on economic issues.
3. The economics magazine is biannual, published twice a year. The first semester of each issue of a given year corresponding to the January-June period must be published in the second half of March or the first of April. The issue corresponding to the second semester July-December period of a given year must be published in the second half of October or first of November. The publication is edited by the Faculty of Economics of the Autonomous University of Yucatan Mexico and is financed by it.
4. The open access policy of the journal is guaranteed through the publication of the contents in full text through the OJS platform of the articles that have approved the strict blind peer reviewed process. The economics journal does not charge fees for recibing, processing, editing and publishing articles
5. The economics journal adheres to the ethical criteria established by COPE (Committe on Publication Ethics).
6. The content of the journal is archived in the institutional repository of the Autonomous University of Yucatan available at REDI. In addition, the PKP PN system of the OJS platform is used.
II. PUBLISHED ARTICLES
1. The edition consists of a section that includes articles that have been the product of theoretical or empirical research that address economic problems from different territorial scales (local, regional, national and international) and from various theoretical-methodological approaches. The journal publishes articles in english and spanish languages.
2. Only papers in the form of articles that meet (1) the format and content requirements will be published in the economics journal: the editorial committee will carry out the first review of the articles in accordance with the guidelines established in the INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS https://www.revista.economia.uady.mx/index.php/reveco/about/submissions, in addition to considering that they are consistent with the thematic coverage of the journal, well structured, comply with the consistency requirement and pass the plagiarism analysis test through Ithenticate software. And (2) exceed the opinion of two anonymous arbitrators in areas of their specialty: manuscripts that pass the first test described in (1) will be sent to double-blind arbitration according to (2), to recognized national and international researchers specialized in the subject to be evaluated, who will be in charge to judge the articles received based on the criteria established by the journal.
3. The authors will be notified that the original has been accepted or rejected for publication within a maximum period of three months from receipt of the manuscript.
4. The types of articles that will be published in the journal are: articles of empirical studies, review articles, theoretical articles or methodological ones. For the characteristics of each type, see the Publications Style Manual of the American Psychological Association, second edition, Mexico: Editorial El Manual Moderno, 2002, p. 4-6. The articles are published in PDF and XML format.
5. The thematic coverage is wide and includes all economic subdisciplines as long as it is the product of an empirical, applied or theoretical work with methodological rigor and therefore, scientific. For the classification of articles in any of the subdisciplines, the classification code of the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) will be used.
6. Accepted and published articles may not be submitted to other evaluation processes. The works published in the journal must be original and have not been published in other journals or by other means. For this, the signed originality letter must be sent, which will be provided by the editor of the journal. The originality letter will indicate that the article submitted for evaluation is original, the product of scientific, theoretical or empirical research.
III. SCIENTIFIC BOARD, EDITORIAL COMMITTEE AND DIRECTOR (SCIENTIFIC EDITOR)
1. The editorial policy of the journal will be defined, reviewed and modified by an Scientific Board and an Editorial Committee. The director of the magazine will be part of the Editorial Committee.
2. The Scientific Board will be formed by renowned national and international economists attached to national or foreign institutions of recognized prestige, which are directly and indirectly linked to the UADY School of Economics. The members will be proposed by the members of the Editorial Committee and must be approved by all. To formalize the appointment, a letter signed by the editor of the journal will be extended.
3. Among the functions of the Scientific Board will be: promote the economy journal in its sphere of influence, support the Editorial Committee in the revision and modification of the editorial policy of the journal and act as arbitrators and suggest arbitrators.
4. The Scientific board will continually renew itself to ensure its operation. Members not actively participating in the edition of two consecutive numbers will be discharged. Also the one that requests it in a formal way.
5. The Scientific board will meet at least once a year electronically to carry out the analysis of the self-assessment of the journal carried out by the editorial committee with the aim of proposing changes that allow the magazine to develop in accordance with the editing criteria on an international level.
6. The Editorial Committee will be made up of renowned economists at local and national level attached to national institutions of recognized prestige. The members will also be proposed by the other members of the Editorial Committee and the appointment will be made official once their inclusion has been voted and approved. The appointment will be formalized with a letter signed by the editor of the magazine.
7. The functions of the Editorial Committee are: promote the economy journal in its sphere of influence, review and modify, with the advice of the Editorial Board, the editorial policy of the magazine, act as arbitrators in the first filter and choose the arbitrators who will be in charge of ruling the articles that pass the first test and determine the general format of the contributions, that is, sections to contain, type of citations in the text and references at the end of the text, the type of the notes in the text.
8. The editorial committee will continually renew itself to ensure its operation. Members not actively participating in the edition of two consecutive numbers will be discharged. Also the one that requests it in a formal way.
9. The editorial committee will meet at least once a year electronically to determine that the development of the publication is carried out in accordance with the criteria of the journal. Likewise, to carry out the self-evaluation of the journal that will be made available to the members of the editorial board for the analysis of the results obtained.
10. The editorial committee has the responsibility to transparent its opinion processes and to resolve situations that may be controversial for the author. The transparency of the opinion process guarantees the anonymity of the identity of the article dictators.
11. The director (scientific editor) of the economics magazine must meet the following requirements: degree of PhD, belong to the community of researches in Mexico, extensive scientific production in the form of articles in arbitration and indexed journals.
12. The director (scientific editor) is responsible for the contents published in the magazine. The work carried out by the editor must be guided by international publication standards and to ensure the quality of the material it publishes. The editor is responsible for making the final decision to accept or reject a manuscript for publication and this decision will be based on the opinions of the arbitrators and on compliance with the editorial policies of the journal in terms of content, theme, quality and publication ethics. The publisher undertakes to guarantee the confidentiality of the evaluation process of the articles, may not reveal the identity of the authors to the reviewers, nor may the authors identify the authors' identity. Unpublished materials that correspond to a manuscript received will not be used in personal investigations of the editor. Editors must make decisions attached to the journal's publication ethics and ensure a fair and appropriate peer review process.
13. The scientific editor will inform the author of the progress in the opinion process and will communicate to the author of the final decision of acceptance or rejection of the article and of the recommendations or changes that should be made to the article in case it has been accepted with modifications for publication in the magazine.
IV. REFEREES
1. The referees must be specialists in their area, preferably belong to the National Researchers System (in the case of Mexican arbitrators). Foreign referees must be specialists in their area and with extensive quality scientific production (publication in the most important journals).
2. The functions of the referees are: perform the evaluation of the articles based on the criteria of originality, quality of the article and its contribution to the field of study, document the evaluation based on the format that will be provided by the corresponding person in charge (journal director).
3. For their task the referees will have been provided a format, which will contain the following: title, originality, quality and contribution for the advancement of the discipline, consistency and structure of the objectives, orientation of the line of argument towards the foundation of the Essential Approaches, correspondence of the methodology with the objectives of research and / or theoretical reflection, comments of the article, comments to the author, publication decision.
4. Articles with a favorable opinion issued by at least two referees will be considered for publication in the journal.
5. The referees must commit to maintaining the confidentiality of the information related to the manuscripts they evaluate and make good use of them. Reviewers should evaluate the article with full adherence to the objectivity and scientific criteria. Criticism of the articles must be constructive in such a way that the authors have sufficient elements to improve the articles that were submitted to a double blind opinion. The ideas obtained through peer review should not be used to obtain personal and professional advantages. Reviewers should not evaluate manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
V. AUTHORS
1. Authors submitting articles for possible publication in the economics journal must be the product of an original work of novel scientific research and attached to the ethics of publication.
2. The manuscripts have not been published nor are they being considered for publication in another medium. The characteristics of a previously published work are the following: a. When the full text has been published by any physical or electronic means in any language, b. When several paragraphs of manuscripts previously published by at least one of the co-authors are part of the text sent to the journal, c. When the manuscript sent to the magazine has been previously published as part of the extensive reports of an academic congress or event.
3. Authors should properly cite the articles and documents contained in the text and provide full references of the cited documents, including the DOI. Citations to published works are made when the author has taken the ideas of other authors to support his research. The magazine does not accept plagiarism in any of its forms and is the cause of rejection of an article.
