The entrepreneurship of the returned migrants, the role of the characteristics of the migrants and the particularities of the migratory experience. The case of the state of Mexico
Abstract
The role of the characteristics of returning migrants from the United States to the State of Mexico on the entrepreneurship decision is identified. With data from 334 interviews applied to returnees from 12 municipalities through statistical analysis, it is shown that the factors that have a positive impact are the time elapsed since the first migration, dollars saved, dollas invested in business and the economic situation without worry about return, while some of the current occupations of returnees, such as professionals and technicians, industrial machinery operators, assemblers and drivers, inhibit entrepreneurial activity
