Abstract

The aim of this paper is to determine whether the technical efficiency of the high technology manufacturing industrial raised before openness commercial, also whether them are influence by factors as specialization and urbanization. Using Data Envelopment Analysis, DEA, we found a use of production factors by southern states, also the low-tech sector showed high levels of efficiency in states with largest urban concentration. We prove that efficiency increase initially after openness comercial, as well as specialization and urbanization influence over it.
