Abstract

Based on statistical information from 2020 from the municipalities of Oaxaca, Mexico, a spatial econometrics model is estimated to evaluate the factors that influence municipal poverty in the state and identify whether the productive specialization of the municipalities can be a factor that contributes to the reduction of poverty, in its total, moderate and extreme dimensions. It was identified that specialization in subsectors 311, 332 and 722 can contribute to reducing poverty in the municipalities of Oaxaca.
