Una evaluación comparativa del programa Oportunidades en México y la Frontera Norte, 2010-2012
Abstract
It is studied income poverty attending the method of poverty lines (Sen, 1976) and the technique of static microsimulation (Bourguignon and Spadaro, 2006) help quantify the impact of Oportunidades in poverty; the National Household Income and Expenditure Survey provides the data. Poverty in Mexico was higher than in the Northern Border and Oportunidades had a very limited impact. Tamaulipas and Coahuila had the highest rates of poverty and greater program impact on food poverty, but the greatest impact in capabilities poverty and heritage poverty was in Baja California and Chihuahua.
