Non-financial factors and their importance for the approval of a credit to SME in Mexico: Empirical evidence
Abstract
The aim of this paper is the analysis of the non financial parameters that financial entities in Mexico value in order to approve a credit to industrial SME’s. With this goal we made an empirical study of 25 financial entities. The findings show that the most outstanding factors from a manager’s profile are: honesty and integrity followed by the sector’s knowledge. Regarding the firm profile, we point out the importance to have a very good portfolio of costumers and a accepted product in the market. About the organization and strategy from the company it is highlighted the business location and its qualified personnel.
